TERROT MOTORCYCLE
TERROT MOTORCYCLE
TEXTURE: POSTER PRINT
HISTORY: Terrot was a French motorcycle manufacturer based in Dijon, they started building motorcycles all the way back in 1902. By 1932 they had won the triple-championship in France having taken victories in the 250cc, 350cc and 500cc motorcycle racing classes. A few years later during the second world war, Terrot supplied thousands of sidecar motorcycles to the French army.
After the war and largely due to fuel rationing, Terrot focussed on motor scooter manufacturing until 1958 when they were acquired by Peugeot, in 1961 Peugeot shuttered the Dijon factory and the named Terrot has not appeared on a the side of a fuel tank since.
