WW1 FOKKER DR.I GERMAN TRI WAR FIGHTER PLANE
WW1 German Fokker Dr.I triplane fighter model, a replica of the plane used by the "Red Baron". Manfred von Richthofen (2 May 1892 – 21 April 1918), widely known as the Red Baron, was a German fighter pilot with the Imperial German Army Air Service (Luftstreitkräfte) during the First World War. He is considered the ace-of-aces of the war, being officially credited with 80 air combat victories. The first flight of the Fokker Dr.I was on 5th July 1917. Only 320 were produced and no complete aircraft survives today, only some remnants exist in museums. Numerous reproductions have been manufactured however.
